Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.2.1 for Desktop Support for Windows 10 Patch. This patch addresses potential issues authorizing and configuring licensing of ArcGIS 10.2.1 Desktop in a Windows 10 operating system environment. This patch deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.
Issues Addressed with this patch
- BUG-000101388 - Upgrade ArcGIS to use the new FNP 11.13.1.5.
Description: This upgrade will alleviate potential issues in virtualized environments when generating UMN for authorizing. Customers who use a concurrent-use license model must use ArcGIS 10.5 License Manager with ArcGIS 10.2.1 Desktop in order to utilize the fix in this patch. Prior versions of the ArcGIS License Manager should not be used with this patch.
Installing this patch on Windows
Installation Steps:
ArcGIS 10.2.1 for Desktop must be installed before installing this patch.
- Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.

- Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
- Double-click ArcGIS-<Version>-<Product>-SW10-Patch.msp to start the setup process.
NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:
msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-<Version>-<Product>-SW10-Patch.msp
