ESRI® announces the Network Analyst 9.1 Network Analyst Closest Facility Solver Patch. This Patch contains one maintenance fix to the Closest Facility solver. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.

Issues Addressed with this Patch

• The main issues addressed with this Patch are:
  
  
  • CQ00285549 - Addresses one issue with the Closest Facility solver where the geometry of routes is incorrectly computed when some facilities and incidents are spatially coincident.
    
    

    In the case where one incident and one destination are geographically coincident, the Closest Facility solver finds a route between these 2 network locations which has correct total impedance equals to 0. The shape representing the route geometry is incorrect because it corresponds to the route from the same incident to the next facility. Furthermore, all subsequent route geometries are also incorrect. For example, this issue occurs only when the Output Shape Type option is set to True Shape (No Measure).

Installing the Patch

ArcGIS Desktop 9.1 Service Pack 1 must be installed before you can install this Patch.

1. Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS Desktop installation location, and that no one is using ArcGIS Desktop.
   
   
2. Download ArcGIS-91-NA-CFS-Patch.exe to a location other than your ArcGIS Desktop installation location.
   
   
3. Double-click the setup file to start the install process.
   
   
4. When Setup starts, follow the instructions on your screen.

NOTE: If you have installed client setups from a shared Network Administrative ArcGIS Desktop setup, this Patch must be applied to all client installations.
