Description
ESRI® announces the Esri Maps for IBM Cognos 4.1(+) Patch for Cognos 10.1.1. This patch applies to all versions 4.1 and higher, and addresses issues that prevent the proper operation of the Vantage Server component when installed into a Cognos 10.1.1 environment. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.
Issues Addressed with this Patch
- VAN-406 - Publish broken in Cognos 10.1.1.
Description: When publishing a map or chart on Cognos 10.1.1, an error is raised and publishing does not complete.
Files Installed in this Patch
Under the [Vantage Root]\ server\webapps\vantage folder:
- defaultSpec.xml
Installing this Patch on Windows/Linux
Installation Steps:
This patch must be installed onto all machines onto which you have previously installed the Vantage Server component.
Example locations for [Vantage Root] are as follows. Your configuration may differ.
- Windows: C:\Program Files\spoton\vantage
- Linux: /opt/spoton/vantage
Vantage Servers
On all Vantage Server machines, perform the following steps:
- Download (or copy) EM4C-C1011-Patch.zip to anywhere you have write access.
- Extract the contents of EM4C-C1011-Patch.zip into the Vantage root folder [Vantage Root]. Be sure to overwrite existing files.
Note: Be sure to clear your internet browser cache before accessing any IBM Cognos reports.
