ArcSDE 8.3 Patch 1

ESRI is pleased to announce ArcSDE 8.3 Patch 1. We highly recommend that customers download and install this required Patch at their earliest convenience. This Patch contains performance improvements and maintenance fixes that deal specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Fixed with this Patch.

 

Issues Fixed with this Patch

• CQ00154517: SeShape methods findBetween, findAlong not working properly.
  
• CQ00160992: Clipping envelopes derived from rectangular horizons extended beyond the x edges of the world envelope, SgShapeClip fails.
  
• CQ00163059: Using SE_LOCK_POLICY or SE_TRYLOCK_POLICY, may cause SeConnection methods to fail.
  
• CQ00166454: DBACESS 2.1d using ArcSDE 8.2/8.3 libraries not working on 95/98/ME.
  
• CQ00184303: Cov2SDE fails when trying to convert a coverage into SDE. (HP64 only).
  
• CQ00184331: Loading raster layers into another user table gives insufficient permission error.
  
• CQ00184780: When Geocoding, mtch.dll causes application crash if reference data field contains more than 80 characters.
  
• CQ00185139: Normal Version filter query needs to be optimized for DB2. (DB2 only)
  
• CQ00185671: SDEIMPORT from SpatialType exportFile into SDEBinary layer with -g SPIDX_GRID specifier fail to generate spatial index.
  
• CQ00187137: Oracle Config and tuning guide not generated correctly. (Oracle only)
