ArcSDE 8.1.2 Update for ArcIMS 3.1 users

UPDATED Nov. 11, 2002: This update enables ArcIMS 3.1 users to communicate with ArcSDE 8.1.2. The list of bug fixes can be found on this page. In addition, Direct Connect has been fixed for ArcIMS 3.1 Solaris users.

This update enables ArcIMS 3.1 users to communicate with ArcSDE 8.1.2. In addition, Direct Connect has been fixed for the ArcIMS 3.1 Solaris users. This update also contains the following bug fixes- CQ00144609 - sdesetupora8i problem, CQ00145935 - ArcIMS 3.1 and ArcSDE 8.02 on same machine: cannot connect to ArcSDE, and CQ00143945 Query gives a Null Pointer Exception when querying Japanese SDE Data.

Windows

• Download the ArcSDE 8.1.2 update for Windows (EXE format, 5.5MB).

AIX

• Download the ArcSDE 8.1.2 update for AIX (TAR format, 17.4 MB).

Installing the ArcSDE 8.1.2 update for AIX-
Download the arcims_aix.tar.Z file to a working directory where it can be expanded. Use the uncompress command:

%uncompress arcims_aix.tar.Z

and then tar:

%tar xvf arcims_aix.tar

cd 812_update/UNIX

./install_update

Solaris

• Download the ArcSDE 8.1.2 update for Solaris (TAR format, 10.2 MB).

Installing the ArcSDE 8.1.2 update for Solaris-
Download the arcims_solaris.tar.Z file to a working directory where it can be expanded. Use the uncompress command:

%uncompress arcims_solaris.tar.Z

and then tar :

%tar xvf arcims_solaris.tar

cd 812_update/UNIX

./install_update
