ArcGIS 9.x License Manager Update

Published: May 28, 2008

Summary

A new version of the ArcGIS 9.x License Manager is now available. For details on enhancements made, please see the Introduction section below.

Description

Introduction

The copy protection mechanism for the ArcGIS Desktop 9.x Concurrent Use product lines including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcView Concurrent Use, and ArcInfo Workstation, has been updated to the FLEXnet Publisher v11.6 software.

Important Notes:

  • The updated License Manager will support all previously released ArcGIS 9.x Desktop and ArcInfo 9.x Workstation software.
  • For the Keyless Windows License Manager and for LINUX platforms new license files are required. The new license files can be requested from ESRI Customer Service.
  • Existing license files (excluding Keyless Windows and Linux platforms), and existing hardware keys can be used with the new License Manager.
  • When using this version of the LMTOOLS GUI, you will see a Borrowing tab. License borrowing is not enabled for the ArcGIS 9.x software at this time. This is a feature we plan to enable at a post 9.3 release.
  • This License Manager Update is available on DVD for users who experience difficulties downloading the update. Simply fill out the Request DVD for ArcGIS 9.3 License Manager form.

Issues Addressed in this update
