ArcGIS 10.3.1 for (Desktop, Server) Raster Type Cumulative Patch

Published: March 8, 2016

Summary

This cumulative patch replaces two previous patches, a) the ArcGIS 10.3.1 for (Desktop / Server) Raster Type Patch and b) the ArcGIS 10.3.1 for (Desktop / Server) Legacy Commercial Satellite NITF Patch. In addition, this updated cumulative patch introduces support for SPOT 7 and Sentinel-2 and enhanced support for various other satellite sensors, including WorldView-3, and Landsat 8 and addresses an issue with SPOT 7 and the older Legacy Commercial Satellite NITF Patch.

Description

EsriĀ® announces the ArcGIS 10.3.1 for (Desktop, Server) Raster Type Cumulative Patch. This patch provides enhanced support for various satellite sensors, including:

  • A new raster type for SPOT 7and Sentinel 2.
  • A new Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) processing template for WorldView 3 imagery.
  • Supporting CLOUD_COVER_LAND metadata in the Landsat 8 raster type.
  • Supporting WorldView 3 NITF imagery in the NCDRD raster type.
  • Addresses issues where some legacy commercial satellite imagery in NITF format aren't recognized as an ArcGIS Raster Type.

In addition, this patch also addresses quality issues in frame camera raster type, multidimensional data raster types (NETCDF, GRIB, HDF), image coordinate systems, and image services. The patch deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this patch.

Issues Addressed with this patch

  • BUG-000093285- Incorporate support for the Sentinel-2 Raster Type.
  • BUG-000092569 - Installing the Legacy Commercial Satellite NITF Patch changes the manner in which raster products are interpreted.

This patch is cumulative of the ArcGIS 10.3.1 Raster Type Patch:

  • BUG-000089838 - Sensor metadata button in the ArcGIS Desktop Image Analysis Window doesn't work against raster products.
  • BUG-000089831 - Add rasters tool for frame camera raster type has to filter input type and provide meaningful error message for unsupported input type.
  • BUG-000089830 - Supporting a variable visible to all groups in multidimensional mosaic dataset.
  • BUG-000089829 - In some workflows, images are orthorectified even when the display is in Image Coordinate System.
  • BUG-000089828 - Top Up does not work from a locked raster from an image service in Geographic Coordinate System.
  • BUG-000089804 - Support WorldView-3 SWIR datasets with new templates in the raster type.
  • BUG-000089801 - Landsat 8 raster type does not preserve the metadata CLOUD_COVER_LAND.
  • BUG-000089800 - Create new raster type to support managing SPOT 7 Imagery in ArcGIS.
  • BUG-000089292 - NAIP image services doesn't honor the statistics from a NDVI raster function template when rendering the data.
  • BUG-000089129 - Unable to load certain JPX files correctly in ArcMap.
  • BUG-000088773 - Need to update the NCDRD raster type to work with WorldView-3 data.
  • BUG-000087648 - All overview levels are not defined after rebuilding footprints.
  • BUG-000087404 - Geoprocessing tools that take service URL's as input fail, if the word 'services' is anywhere in the fully qualified name in ArcMap 10.3.1.
  • BUG-000086509 - Accessing files from the output directory using the "Raster File" operation on ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 for Linux over HTTPS leads to a 500 error with the URL referencing https:/ rather than https://.
  • BUG-000086461 - Mosaic dataset not seen in full extent due to less number of overview levels.
  • BUG-000085180 - Unable to add SOCET SET files to a mosaic dataset due to spatial reference issues.
  • NIM099111 - Unable to download rasters from an image service when submitting the request via HTTPS.

This patch is cumulative of the ArcGIS 10.3.1 for (Desktop / Server) Legacy Commercial Satellite NITF Patch

  • BUG-000091783 - This fix addresses issues where some legacy commercial satellite imagery in NITF format aren't presented to the user as an ArcGIS Raster Product or aren't recognized as an ArcGIS Raster Type. This enhancement applies to non-ncdrd compliant NITF satellite imagery (e.g. legacy Ikonos, Quickbird, GeoEye-1, WorldView-1, WorldView-2, etc.).
