Description
Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.2 for Server Map Cache consumption using the REST Tile Handler Patch. This patch address an issue with the REST tile handler failing to draw map tiles from map and image server caches. The symptoms include blank tiles in your drawing when you have cache bundles larger than 2GB in size. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.

- NIM092249 - With very large bundles of compact cache, the REST tile handler does not respond with valid tiles.

Installing this Patch on Windows
Installation Notes:
System Administrators: A technical paper is available that discusses the enterprise deployment of ArcGIS 10.2 setups using Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Group Policy, including additional system requirements, suggestions, known issues, and Microsoft Software Installation (MSI) command line parameters. Deployment in a lockdown environment is also covered. ArcGIS 10.2 Enterprise Deployment.
Installation Steps:
ArcGIS 10.2 for Server must be installed before you can install this patch.
- Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.
Checksum (md5) ArcGIS for Server ArcGIS-102-S-MCCRTH-Patch.msp E8EFF2D8D776C159A5757CB7048ACAF3 - Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location.
- Double-click ArcGIS-102-S-MCCRTH-Patch.msp to start the setup process.
NOTE: If double clicking on the MSP file does not start the setup installation, you can start the setup installation manually by using the following command:
msiexec.exe /p [location of Patch]\ArcGIS-102-S-MCCRTH-Patch.msp

Complete the following install steps as the ArcGIS Install owner. The Install owner is the owner of the arcgis folder.
ArcGIS 10.2 for Server must be installed before you can install this patch.
- Download the appropriate file to a location other than your ArcGIS installation location.
Checksum (md5) ArcGIS Server ArcGIS-102-S-MCCRTH-Patch.tar ea6f6571b6da0582712a3c9cf892b250 - Make sure you have write access to your ArcGIS installation location, and that no one is using ArcGIS.
- Extract the specified tar file by typing:
% tar -xvf ArcGIS-102-S-MCCRTH-Patch.tar
- Start the Installation by typing:
% ./applypatch
This will start the dialog for the menu-driven setup procedure. Default selections are noted in parentheses ( ). To quit the setup procedure, type 'q' at any time.
