ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for Server Network Analysis ArcSDE Connection Patch
Summary
Description
Esri® announces the ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 for Server Network Analysis ArcSDE Connection Patch. This patch addresses a network analysis issue in ArcGIS for Server where the service does not reconnect to the ArcSDE database containing the network dataset after unexpected loss of connection. This affects configurations where you have a network service that’s referencing a network dataset stored in an ArcSDE database. Under some circumstances, the connection between the map and the ArcSDE database containing the street network data may become disconnected (for example, the database is restarted or rolled-over to a failover database). In these cases, the network service needs to identify that the ArcSDE connection is no longer valid and attempt to reconnect to the SDE database. It deals specifically with the issues listed below under Issues Addressed with this Patch.
Issues Addressed with this Patch
- NIM090245 - Network service does not automatically reconnect to stale ArcSDE servers.
