Frequently asked question

Why does the spot item definition from the input coverage not match the output coverage spot item definition for the ARCPOINT command?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

The ARCPOINT command allows you to specify a spot_item, which will be added to the PAT of the output point coverage. The item definition of the spot item in the output is not affected by the item definition of the spot item from the input coverage. The spot item in the output point coverage's PAT will always be defined as 4 12 F 3 (WIDTH OUTPUT TYPE N.DEC).
