Why does the ArcIMS install prompt for a license?

Answer

ArcMap Server was chosen as one of the components for the ArcIMS installation. An ArcMap Server license is required. Contact the vendor or your ESRI distributor to obtain a license keycode. There is no additional fee for this license.
