Frequently asked question

Why do simple attribute edits result in dirty areas after reconcile?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

A simple attribute edit is an edit to a field that is not the subtype or shape field. On reconcile, edits performed in the edit/child version are not differentiated. As such, if a feature participating in a topology is edited in any way, it will be covered by a dirty area after the reconcile.
