Why do I not see shapes after I import OSM or Shape Data?

The shape creation is deactivated by default after an import. The reason is that a user may import a huge dataset and does not want the shapes to be created for performance reasons. Thus, the user must activate the shape creation in the Inspector's tabs: 'Blocks', 'Segments' and 'Nodes'.
