Frequently asked question

Why do I get zero matches when geocoding with Zip+4 style?

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Answer

When geocoding addresses with the 5 digit zip and 4 digit zone, the input address table must contain a string field with both values concatenated without spaces.

Note:
This will maintain the leading zeros for New England state zip codes.

The reference data used for geocoding must have separate short integer fields for the 5 digit zip and 4 digit zone values.
