ArcGIS GeoBIM now requests Autodesk permissions more narrowly. Most GeoBIM workflows only need Autodesk read-only access. The only exception is when creating Autodesk Issues, which requires write access.

Context
ArcGIS GeoBIM requested broader Autodesk permissions than necessary during authorization. Esri now requests only read access to Autodesk data for all but the Issue creation workflow, which explicitly requests edit privileges.
Changes
- Esri now requests read-only authorization for all but Issue creation in ArcGIS GeoBIM.
- Esri now requests read-only authorization for the following ArcGIS Experience Builder widgets: Document Explorer, Link Explorer, and Document Viewer.
- When you create an Autodesk Issue, both from the ArcGIS GeoBIM Viewer App or ArcGIS Field Maps, you will be prompted to authorize with Autodesk. That permission is used only for that one action and is removed immediately after.
Is any action needed for implementation?
- The changes have been implemented in ArcGIS Online and no action is needed.
- The changes will be implemented on ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0, 11.5, 11.3 over the following months and will require a patch to be installed once ready.
