When Running the ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS).exe 12.0 File, the Setup Wizard Does Not Launch

Description

The ArcGIS Web Adaptor setup wizard does not launch when ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) is upgraded to version 12.0 or a fresh deployment of ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) 12.0 is installed. The setup files are extracted when ArcGIS Web Adaptor 12.0 Setup.exe is executed, but the setup wizard does not launch after the file extraction. The setup wizard does not launch even when setup.exe is launched directly from the extracted file in the computer's Documents folder or run from the command prompt.

Cause

The machine where ArcGIS Web Adaptor 12.0 is installed does not have the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

Solution or Workaround

Download the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft. After installing the required Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable software, ArcGIS Web Adaptor 12.0 is successfully installed.
