Starting with the Q2 2026 versions of ArcGIS products (ArcGIS AllSource 1.6, ArcGIS Pro 3.7, ArcGIS Reality Studio 2026.1), Single Use licenses are updated to include information about the terms of maintenance. This change helps organizations stay in compliance with the Esri Master Agreement, while providing access to the newest software versions they are eligible for. This change supports customers with clearer, more accurate license controls so that they can deploy ArcGIS software across their organizations with confidence.
Single Use licenses issued prior to the Q2 2026 releases will continue to work for earlier software versions, and updated licenses are required to run software versions released in Q2 2026 and later.
Customers who are current on maintenance will automatically receive updated Single Use perpetual licenses in My Esri at the time of the Q2 2026 releases. The new, updated Single Use licenses must be authorized on machines to run the Q2 2026 and later releases (ArcGIS AllSource 1.6, ArcGIS Pro 3.7, ArcGIS Reality Studio 2026.1). Every time software maintenance is renewed, Single Use licenses containing the new maintenance terms will be updated in My Esri, enabling the use of software versions released during the active maintenance period.
Note: For ArcGIS Desktop customers who obtained an ArcGIS Pro Single Use license in the past by converting an ArcGIS Pro add-on – the final ArcGIS Desktop renewal will quote ArcGIS user types that include ArcGIS Pro at the license level equivalent to the customer’s ArcGIS Desktop license level. Customers may opt out of the default quote and move to ArcGIS Pro Standalone maintenance. Moving to ArcGIS Pro Standalone provides updated ArcGIS Pro Single Use licenses that can run ArcGIS Pro 3.7 and later.
