Unable to create OAuth2 web connection to ArcGIS Online

Description

After performing an upgrade of ArcGIS Pro and the Data Interoperability extension, an OAuth2 web connection cannot be created to ArcGIS Online.

Cause

Residual information stored in both the Chrome browser cache, and the Data Interoperability cache from earlier Workbench activity, did not allow the new version to process correctly.

Solution or Workaround

  1. In the Chrome web browser, go to Settings > Privacy and Security. Alternatively, navigate to chrome://settings/privacy

  1. In Settings, click Delete browsing data.
  2. In the pop-up window, choose a time range, and click Clear Cache.
  3. In FME Workbench, Go to Tools > Purge Temporary Files.

  1. Restart the workbench and try authenticating the connection again.
