Using ArcGIS Server (Java) on a machine with a hyphen in its hostname, parameters for geoprocessing tasks in web applications are hidden

Description

In ArcGIS Server for JAVA, after configuring a Web application with a geoprocessing task using the ADF for ArcGIS Server for JAVA, the input parameters for the geoprocessing task are blank.

Cause

The machine on which ArcGIS Server for Java is installed has a hyphen in the hostname.

Workaround

Rename the machine on which ArcGIS Server for Java is installed to a hostname that does not include a hyphen.
