Problem: Unable to Run Report Requests in the Business Analyst Server REST Endpoint

Description

When running a report in the Esri Business Analyst for Server REST endpoint, the attempt fails and the following error message is returned:

Cause

This issue occurs when Esri Business Analyst Server is configured with Business Analyst Desktop 2016 data, instead of the Business Analyst Server 2016 data.

Solution or Workaround

Ensure that the Business Analyst Server 2016 data is configured to Esri Business Analyst Server. To confirm this, navigate to ArcGIS Server Manager > DefaultMap service > Capabilities > Business Analyst. The data paths must point to a location such as the following:

C:\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\US_2016_Server_Data

If the Desktop data (usually located in C:\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\US_2016) is being used, run the Business Analyst Server Post Install again, and configure the Business Analyst Server 2016 data to be used.
