Unable to run file filename.aml

Error Message

Trying to run an AML returns the following error:

Unable to run file filename.aml

Cause

When the AML was saved, a .txt extension was appended to the filename by the text editor.

Solution or Workaround

1. Display file extensions in Windows Explorer.
   
   Windows NT
   
   
   A. Select View > Options.
   B. Click the View tab.
   C. Make sure the 'Hide file extensions for known file types' radio dial is not checked.
   
   
   
   
   Windows 2000
   
   
   A. Select Tools > Folder Options.
   B. Click the File Types tab.
   C. In the Advanced Settings box make sure 'Hide file extensions for known file types' is not checked.
   
   
   
   
   
2. Right-click the AML in Windows Explorer and use Rename to remove the .txt extension.
3. Select Yes when a message box appears saying "If you change a filename extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?"
