Unable to load usage file. Unable to load Arc

Error Message

When starting Arcinfo, the following error is returned:

"Unable to load usage file. Unable to load Arc"

Cause

The path to the ARCHOME variable is set incorrectly or the TEMP and TMP variables have spaces in the path.

Solution or Workaround

• Correct the path to ARCHOME. For UNIX, modify the .cshrc file for the user login.
• Change the TEMP and TMP variables paths to a location that does not have spaces.
