Bug: Unable to Join Integer Field in a Map Service to a IBM Cognos Field

Description

When configuring a Cognos shape layer by using a JOIN between a map service and an IBM Cognos field, no results are returned when the map service join field is in integer format.

Cause

Currently Esri Maps for IBM Cognos does not support a join between an integer map service field and an IBM Cognos field.

Workaround

Add a new field to the map service formatted as a string and populate it with integer values. ID values should always be in string format; integers should only be used if some sort of arithmetic operation is to be performed on the field.
