Problem: Unable to Join Additional Machine to ArcGIS Server Site on Linux after Upgrading

Description

Users with Linux systems installed may be unable to join an additional machine to their ArcGIS Server 10.3 or 10.3.1 site after upgrading from ArcGIS version 10.2.x.

Cause

Network File System (NFS) share hosting config-store and directories are built on Cisco Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) clustering.

Solution or Workaround

Change the permissions of the VCS locks from the root to the account used to run the ArcGIS server service.
