U.S. 2025 local Business Analyst dataset, Updated Standard Infographic Templates Patch

First Published: April 25, 2026
Last Published: May 1, 2026

Description

This patch contains updated Standard infographic template files for the U.S. 2025 local data available for Business Analyst Pro. Some of these updates are related to accessibility guidelines for infographics. The update also includes an updated .xml configuration file to correct an issue with state-level comparisons.

Summary

New templates have been added, and a few have been removed. Business Analyst Standard infographic templates have been updated to follow accessibility guidelines, such as changes to color contrast, alternative text, and more. The Childhood and Female Equity, Office Market Profile, and Skyscraper templates were removed from the Standard templates. They are still available as Gallery infographics in the Business Analyst Web App. The new Fire District Profile template is available. The Business Key Facts and the Eating Places templates have also been added to this update. This patch also includes an updated USA_ESRI_2025.xml configuration file to fix an issue with state-level comparisons not being available in infographic panels.

Solution

It is important to understand the difference between connected and installed local data, the file paths for the steps below will be different.

  • Connected datasets are datasets that were not installed using the Windows Installer; instead, the user has connected to the dataset_description.xml file. If the dataset is installed, it will appear in gray in the Business Analyst Options window (Project tab, Options, under Application, and then Business Analyst). The image below shows that the USA and CAN local datasets are installed (shown in gray), and the USA 2024 data is connected.

Business Analyst Options showing the file paths

  1. Download the files, there should be an Infographic folder inside of the Infographics USA 2025 Update 1 folder. This contains 25 template folders. There is a separate folder containing the updated USA_ESRI_2025.xml file.
  2. Copy and paste the USA_ESRI_2025.xml file into “C:\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\US_2025\Configuration” for connected datasets, and the file path might be slightly different based on where data is stored. Overwrite the existing file when prompted to do so, by clicking Replace the files in the destination.
    • If your data is installed, the path is: “C:\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\US_2025\Datasets\USA_ESRI_2025.xml” (the file path might be slightly different based on where data is stored).
  3. Copy and paste the Infographic folder into "C:\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\US_2025\Information Products\Infographics" for connected data. The file path might be different depending on where the data is stored. Overwrite the existing folder when prompted to do so, click Replace the files in the destination.
    • For installed datasets, the file path is: "C:\ArcGIS\Business Analyst\US_2025\Datasets\Geoenrichment Report Templates\Default Report Templates\USA_ESRI_2025\Infographics".
  4. Open ArcGIS Pro and, under Options > Business Analyst, press Delete Cache to delete the data cache for Business Analyst and make sure data updates are applied.
