PROBLEM
On ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) applications created on or after December 10, 2024, a “Token response type is not supported” error is returned when logging in to an Autodesk account in ArcGIS GeoBIM.
When attempting to log in to Autodesk, the following message is displayed in a new browser tab:
{"error":"invalid_request","error_description":"'token' response type is not supported."}.
ArcGIS GeoBIM will remain on the log-in message "You are required to log in to your Autodesk account in order to proceed", as shown in the image below, and users are unable to log in to their Autodesk account.
This issue is related to the deprecation of multiple Autodesk APIs that affect new Autodesk Platform Services (APS) applications created on or after December 10, 2024.
You can re-use an existing Client ID (created prior to December 10th, 2024) by adding the callback URL to an existing APS application. Follow these steps to finalize the setup:
Contact GeoBIMSupport@esri.com with an Autodesk Client ID to use new Autodesk Platform Services (APS) applications created on or after December 10, 2024. This solution will be supported until July 31, 2025
On May 1, 2025, ArcGIS GeoBIM on ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 will enter mature support. Customers are encouraged to upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 or newer for continued use of ArcGIS GeoBIM.
