Time does not display in the date field of a hosted feature service

Description

In ArcGIS Online, time does not automatically display in date fields in a pop-up or the data table of a hosted feature service.

Cause

By default, only dates are displayed in the date field in ArcGIS Online. The time is not displayed, despite being present in the service.

Solution or Workaround

1. Navigate to the arrow next to the layer that containing the date field > Configure Pop-up.
   
   
2. Click Configure Attributes.
3. In the Configure Attributes dialog box, click the date field.
4. Check the check box next to 'Show time' and select the desired time format.
   
   
5. Click OK.
6. Click Save Pop-up.
   
   

   Note:
    By design, the option to enable time display is only available for '21/12/2015' and '12/21/2015' date formats. This function is not available for other date formats.
