The Make Default and Reset options are not active

Solution or Workaround

Description

The Make Default and Reset options are not active in the Customize window.

Cause

A safety feature was added to ArcView 3.1 to prevent the duplication of extensions within default projects. This will cause some extensions to be checked in the Extensions dialog box.

Solution

Bring up the Extensions dialog box and uncheck all extensions. This ensures that all extensions are off during the customization of ArcView through the Customize window.
