The local version of the “Eating Places in Canada” infographic is not available in ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro

Description

ArcGIS Pro versions prior to 3.1 crashes when running the local version of the “Eating Places in Canada” infographic in the Evaluate Site workflow. To avoid this crash, the Eating Places in Canada infographic was removed from the Business Analyst 2022 Canada Data Update.

Cause

This is caused by the Evaluate Site workflow processing point-based location calculations incorrectly in the template.

Solution or Workaround

In any ArcGIS Pro version, connect your Business Analyst Data Source to online 2022 Canada data and use the Evaluate Site workflow, or:

In ArcGIS Pro 3.1 or higher, download the Eating Places in Canada infographic template and run it locally through the Summary Reports geoprocessing tool. To do this, do the following:

Ensure the Esri Business Analyst 2022 Canada Data Update is downloaded from My Esri, available on your local machine, and the data license (.sdlic) is applied.

1. Log in to https://bao.arcgis.com using your ArcGIS account.
2. Click Reports.
3. Open any Project, and click Build Infographics.
4. In Standard templates, open Eating Places in Canada.
5. Click Save and Save again. The same title can be used.

1. Open ArcGIS Pro 3.1 or newer.
2. Open the Catalog pane from the View tab.
3. Click Portal and click the My Content icon, as shown in the next image.
4. Double-click the Report Templates folder. A list of your reports and infographics are shown.

5. Locate your saved Eating Places in Canada infographic, click Import Template.
6. Review the Import Template dialog and click OK. The template is downloaded to your machine.

7. Ensure the Business Analyst Data Source is set to CAN_ESRI_2022. Open the Business Analysis menu from the Analysis tab. Click Change data source.

8. Under Computer, set the data source by selecting CAN_ESRI_2022. Click OK.

9. Open the Geoprocessing pane, click Tools from the Analysis tab.
10. Expand the Business Analyst toolbox, expand the Reports toolset and click the Summary Reports tool.

11. Select any desired Boundary Layer. From the Create Reports list, select Eating Places in Canada.

12. Click Run.
13. Click View Details to open the infographic from the Parameters tab.
