ERROR
The character '<' cannot be used in an attribute value
Error Message
ArcMap returns the following error message when loading and ArcIMS image service:
Error:
"The character '<' cannot be used in an attribute value."
Cause
This is a known issue.
Solution or Workaround
Escape the angle brackets characters, < or >, using the following HTML escape characters instead: < or >For example:
Code: <RASTER_EXACT transparency="0.3" value="-32768" color="0,255,0" label="Value < 0" />
