Table not registered [user.raster] Invalid column value

Error Message

Attempting to load a raster to an SDE standalone raster dataset or existing raster catalog returns the following error:

"Failed to convert ...\raster.ext
Table not registered[user.raster]
Invalid column value
Failed to execute (CopyRaster)"

Cause

Resampling techniques BILINEAR and CUBIC for an ArcSDE geodatabase are not supported for images with colormaps.

Solution or Workaround

1. Check Environments.. > Raster Geodatabase Settings > Resampling techniques for ArcSDE geodatabase
   
   If attempting to load a raster dataset with colormaps use the NEAREST resample technique.
