Supported DTED Level 2 raster datasets don't display in ArcMap or ArcCatalog

Description

ArcMap and ArcCatalog do not recognize DTED Level 2 files, even though they are included, along with DTED Level 1 files, in the Raster Format Browsing list on the Raster tab of the Options dialog box. DTED Level 1 files display fine.

Cause

Only the file extension for DTED Level 1 (.dt1) is listed as an extension in the Raster Format Browsing list; thus, DTED Level 2 (.dt2) files will not display.

Solution or Workaround

1. Click the Tools menu and click Options.
2. Click the Raster tab.
3. Click the 'DTED Level 1 & 2 File Extension' input box and type in the DTED Level 2 file extension next to the DTED Level 1 file extension (*.dt1; *.dt2).
4. Click OK.
