Start the license manager automatically on UNIX

Procedure

Instructions provided describe how to start the license manager automatically on Unix.

The lmgrd process needs to be started every time the system is rebooted. To make this automatic rather than manual, see the $ARCHOME/sysgen/license.boot file. This file contains specific instructions for the platform on how to execute the license manager at startup.

Note:
The ArcInfo 7.2.1 license.boot file for IBM (AIX) is incorrect. Apply ArcInfo 7.2.1 Patch 2 to install the correct license.boot file.
