BUG

Some rasters display in the wrong location in 9.2

Last Published: April 25, 2020

Description

Some rasters that previously displayed in the correct location in ArcGIS 9.0 & 9.1 now display in the wrong location in 9.2. The raster is offset by a few thousand miles from where it should be located.

Cause

The false easting and/or false northing are not read correctly by 9.2. When viewed in ArcGIS 9.0 & 9.1 the false easting or false northing contained valid values. In 9.2 the false easting and/or false northing is set to zero.

Workaround

Redefine the projection using the Define Projection tool or by editing the spatial reference in ArcCatalog.
