HOW TO
After a device has been updated to Android 11 or later, ArcGIS Navigator will not be able to open maps that were sideloaded onto the device prior to the update. You may also be unable to access the device's external storage when connecting to a computer.
The files stored on the device and externally on the microSD card still exist, they just don’t appear in Navigator or the computer’s file explorer. This prevents accessing your existing maps in Navigator and it also prevents copying (sideloading) mobile map packages (MMPKs) to the device.
To sideload files to a device using external storage on Android 11 or later, you must connect the microSD card directly to the computer using a card reader. The steps for accessing and sideloading MMPKs for use with Navigator are as follows:
Access existing sideloaded MMPKs on the device
The MMPKs are ready to use in Navigator.
Sideload MMPKs onto a MicroSD card
The MMPK is ready to use in Navigator.
