HOW TO
In some instances, after unjoining/rejoining parcels, features with null shapes or geometry, also called bad geometry, are created. Features with bad geometry may cause parcel errors to be returned during editing. Soemtimes null features cannot be deleted because there is no active plan ID associated with the parcel.
Note: Plan ID is a unique identifier for each plan in a parcel fabric. For more information on plans in parcel fabrics, refer to the following ArcGIS Web Help topic: Working with plans. The instructions provided describe how to remove null features from a parcel fabric.
Note: Parcel fabrics are only available with Standard or Advanced license.
If the active Plan ID is not associated with the parcel:
Use the Parcel Editor Add-in: Delete Fabric Records to remove the null features from the parcel fabric. For more information on how to use this tool, refer to the following documentation: Delete Fabric Records Add-in.
Note: It is important to understand the data model of the parcel fabric when using the Delete Fabric Records tool. For more information on the data model, refer to the following ArcGIS Web Help topic: The elements of a parcel.
