HOW TO

Regenerate validation tables for attribute rules

Last Published: December 15, 2020

Summary

Errors that are created when evaluating batch calculation and validation rules and are stored in the error tables: GDB_Validation [Point, Line, Polygon, Object] Errors. If the error tables do not exist (for example, if the tables are accidentally deleted), then there isn’t a place to store the errors. Thus, to evaluate batch calculation and validation attribute rules, the error tables must be present in the geodatabase. This article describes the steps needed to regenerate the error tables if the tables aren’t present in the geodatabase.

Procedure

To regenerate the error tables, add a placeholder batch calculation or validation rule using the steps below:

  1. Open the Add Attribute Rule geoprocessing tool or the attribute rules view.
  2. Add either a batch calculation or validation placeholder rule and click Save.
