Re-create the application configuration file

Summary

If the application configuration file gets deleted, the instructions provided describe how to re-create it.

Procedure

1. From the Windows Start menu, select ArcGIS Explorer > Application Configuration Manager.
   
2. In the 'ArcGIS Explorer Application Configuration' dialog box, select 'Create a new application configuration'.
3. In the 'Create Application Configuration' dialog box, specify the name and file name for the new application configuration. Provide values for 'Name:' and 'File:'. Select 'Create'.
4. In the 'ArcGIS Explorer Application Configuration' dialog box, select 'Preview', which launches ArcGIS Explorer.
5. In ArcGIS Explorer, using the pearl (the globe icon), select 'Set Application Configuration'.
6. In the 'Application Configuration' dialog box select 'Browse...'. Select the newly created application configuration filename.
7. Select 'Update'.
   
8. Select 'Restart Now'. This opens ArcGIS Explorer.
