Prompt to copy and paste code into an application when logging into ArcGIS Online using enterprise logins in PowerPoint
Description
For organizations using enterprise logins in ArcGIS Online, a problem may be encountered when logging in from Microsoft PowerPoint via Esri Maps for Office.
The following message is returned:
"Please copy this code, switch to your application and paste it there:"
Cause
This issue arises when the ArcGIS Connection URL is incorrect.
You can find what your ArcGIS Connection URL is by navigating in PowerPoint to: File > Esri Maps > ArcGIS Connection.
By default, the ArcGIS Connection URL is:
http://www.arcgis.com
Solution or Workaround
1. Modify the ArcGIS Connection URL to your ArcGIS Online Organization URL, for example:https://myorganization.maps.arcgis.com
Note:
Do not include '/home' at the end of the URL.
2. Restart PowerPoint for the change to take effect.
