PRODUCT SALES UPDATE
Starting with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5, ArcGIS Knowledge will provide enhanced value to our customers by integrating the latest version of enterprise-scale graph database technology. At ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 to 11.4, ArcGIS Knowledge customers are limited to a single-machine deployment with unlimited compute capacity for their ArcGIS Data Store graph store deployment. Starting with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5, the licensing terms will change for ArcGIS Knowledge to allow customers to choose between either a single-machine with 24 cores for their ArcGIS Data Store graph store deployment or a three-machine cluster, with each machine having 8 cores each. This new three-machine cluster configuration will improve performance, reliability, and enable greater scalability for graph data store deployments.
Customers that need to scale their ArcGIS Data Store graph store deployments beyond the 24 cores already provided must purchase additional Knowledge Server cores. These additional cores will increase both the number of Knowledge Server cores and the number of ArcGIS Data Store graph store cores available to the customer.
No immediate action is necessary for existing ArcGIS Knowledge customers operating ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 or prior versions. Customers running ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 or prior versions may choose to continue with the previous licensing model until the end of that version’s lifecycle. While customers can choose to continue using ArcGIS Knowledge with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 and prior versions, we recommend that they migrate to the latest version to take advantage of the enhanced features, improved performance, and graph data store scalability available with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5.
Customers will be prompted within My Esri to migrate to the new licensing model when they upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5. Upon upgrading, customers will have the option to deploy either a single-machine ArcGIS Data Store graph store or a three-machine cluster.
Customers planning for large-scale production deployments of ArcGIS Knowledge and who also plan to upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 or later versions must consider the budget implications of the new model with their Account Manager.
