Description
In ArcGIS Experience Builder, linking widgets to a Map widget and enabling the map to zoom to a specific location creates an interactive experience and provides more context for the selected data. However, in some cases, the action settings on the widget panel do not include the 'Zoom to' action for targeting a Map widget, as displayed in the image below.
Cause
Possible causes related to the data source configured for the widget include:
- The data source is a stand-alone table.
- The data source is not added to the widget.
Solution or Workaround
Depending on the cause, the workarounds described below are applicable.
Publish the stand-alone tables as a hosted feature layer
- In ArcGIS Online, publish the stand-alone table as a hosted feature layer to include spatial data. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Publish hosted feature layers for further instructions.
- In ArcGIS Experience Builder, replace the data source with the hosted feature layer.
- Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder web experience.
- Click the widget on the canvas to open the widget pane.
- In the widget pane, on the Content tab, under Data, click Remove to remove the previous selected data source.
- Click Select data.
- On the Select data panel, click Add new data.
- In the Add data window, on the Layers tab, select the hosted feature layer under My content. Click Done.
- On the Select data panel, select the hosted feature layer.
- Add Zoom to to the widget. Refer to ArcGIS Experience Builder: Configure interactions for further instructions.
- Save, preview, and publish the experience.
Add a data source to the widget
In ArcGIS Experience Builder, on the Content tab of the widget pane, configure the widget to use the appropriate data source. Refer to ArcGIS Experience Builder: Manage data for more information.
