PROBLEM

Unable to view features captured with the streaming function in ArcGIS Field Maps

Last Published: May 25, 2021

Description

In ArcGIS Field Maps, the streaming function allows for capturing features along a path by travelling and displaying these features on maps enabled for editing. In some instances, after capturing the data and submitting the data, the feature does not appear on the map in ArcGIS Field Maps.

Cause

When a feature is captured in ArcGIS Field Maps, an option to add values to all the attributes for the specific feature displays. If no values are added, the feature contains attributes with no values. By default, attributes containing no values are not symbolized on a map.

Solution or Workaround

Symbolize the attributes with no values in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer. Follow these steps to do this:

  1. In ArcGIS Online Map Viewer, open the map used in ArcGIS Field Maps.
  2. Click Change Style The Change Style icon.
  3. Under Select a drawing style, click OPTIONS on the style selected.
  4. Check the Draw features with no value option.
  5. Click Change Symbol to change the symbol for attributes not containing values. Click OK.
  6. Click OK.
