Unable to track mobile worker location in ArcGIS Field Maps

Description

Mobile worker locations in the field can be tracked and recorded in feature layers using the ArcGIS Field Maps web app. In some instances, the option to track locations is disabled, and the following warning message displayed:

Error:   
Location tracking isn't enabled for your organization. Ask your administrator to enable location tracking.

Cause

The 'Enable location tracking' option in ArcGIS Online is disabled for the organization.

Solution or Workaround

1. Enable the Enable location tracking option in ArcGIS Online using the administrator or a custom role with administrative privileges. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Enable location tracking for steps to do so.
2. In the ArcGIS Field Maps web app, open the feature layer used to collect mobile worker location data.
3. Click Settings.
4. Under Location Tracking, enable the Required option.
