Unable to select search results in the Search widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Description

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, when using the Search widget, a data view is created to ensure all map features are displayed. In an experience with a data view, when selecting search results for the first time in the Search widget, the results are refreshed and require reselection.

The image below shows the experience displaying the Search widget with a data view that does not select the search results upon selection.

Cause

The 'Auto select the first result' check box is not checked. When the option is not checked, clicking the first result replaces the search result with the suggested item using the new value.

Solution or Workaround

1. In ArcGIS Experience Builder, click the Search widget on the canvas to open its configuration panel.
2. On the configuration panel, on the Content tab, browse to General search options.
3. Under General search options, for Search result, click Expand for more configuration options.
4. Check the Auto select the first result check box.

5. Click Save to save the configurations.
