Unable to save form changes in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer

Description

When saving a form in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer, the process fails, and the following error messages are returned:

Error:
Unable to save your form changes. Check the layer settings and confirm that you have the privileges required to make changes.

Unable to save your form changes. The form contains invalid properties or an error has occurred.

Cause

  • The field name of the form element uses a reserved SQL keyword.
  • Certain form elements have invalid properties.
  • The hosted feature layer used in the web map is corrupted.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the cause, use one of the following solutions.

Change the field name of the form element

In the Properties pane of the form element, in the Field name parameter, remove the previous field name and replace it with a new one not included in the list of reserved SQL keywords. Refer to Microsoft Build: Reserved Keywords (Transact-SQL) for more information.

Remove and re-add the form element

  1. In the ArcGIS Field Maps Designer form, remove the form element by clicking Delete The Delete button in ArcGIS Field Maps Designer..
  2. Re-add the form element to the form. Refer to ArcGIS Field Maps: Add basic form elements for more information.

Republish the web map

Delete and republish the web map using the same hosted feature layer used in ArcGIS Online. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Save maps (Map Viewer) for further instructions.
