PROBLEM
Portal for ArcGIS allows the addition of cloud stores as big data file shares for GeoAnalytics Tools and supports Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) buckets, Microsoft Azure Blob storage containers, and Microsoft Azure Data Lake Stores. In certain cases, the Environment drop-down list is not available and the Environment parameter cannot be populated when attempting to add a Microsoft Azure Blob storage container as a cloud store in Portal for ArcGIS, as shown in the image below.
The following resource URL is not included in the allowedProxyHosts property in Portal for ArcGIS. The 'Add a data store' dialog box uses the resources from the URL to populate the Environment drop-down list.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/esriresources/regionsforcloudstorage.dat
Update the allowedProxyHosts property’s list of approved addresses to include the Esri resource URL before adding the Microsoft Azure Blob storage container in Portal for ArcGIS.
