PROBLEM
In some instances, after the license level is changed from Advanced to Basic, attempting to log in to ArcGIS Pro fails, and the following error message is returned:
Error: Your account is not licensed for ArcGIS Pro. Please ask your organization administrator to assign you an add-on ArcGIS Pro license or a user type that includes ArcGIS Pro (e.g., GIS Professional).

ArcGIS Online does not automatically update the organization member's user type when the license level has changed. In this example, the user type is not changed from GIS Professional Advanced to GIS Professional Basic. The member is not licensed for ArcGIS Pro until the appropriate user type is assigned for the member's license level.
To resolve the issue, log in to ArcGIS Online and manually assign the user type by following the steps below.
