Unable to edit data in related tables with the Attribute Editor in ArcMap

Description

Cannot edit data in the related table using the Attribute Editor after setting up a relate in ArcMap.

Cause

Data with relates cannot be edited using the Attribute Editor.

Solution or Workaround

• If the data belongs to the same geodatabase, create a relationship class.

  Relationship Classes can only be created with ArcEditor and ArcInfo licenses.

  
  
• Select a record in the Table Window. Find and update related records by clicking Options > Related Tables in the Table Window. This command will open the related table if it is added to ArcMap and will allow for selection of records in related tables.
