Description
Attempts to create a new feature class with the Create Feature Class pane in ArcGIS Pro fail without an error. In some instances, the Finish button in the Create Feature Class pane is disabled.
Cause
- The file geodatabase is stored on a cloud storage service. By design, ArcGIS Pro does not support the use of cloud storage services such as OneDrive and Google Drive. Refer to the note under the ArcGIS Pro: Hardware requirements section for more information.
- There is an existing feature class with the same name in the file geodatabase.
Solution or Workaround
Download and save the file geodatabase on a local drive
- Access the cloud storage service to retrieve the file geodatabase.
- Download and save the file geodatabase to a local drive. Refer to Microsoft: Download files from OneDrive to your device or Google Drive Help: Download a file accordingly for instructions.
- Connect the folder connection to the ArcGIS Pro project. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Connect to a folder for more information.
Provide a new feature class name or create a new file geodatabase
In ArcGIS Pro, specify a different name from the existing feature class name or create and store a new file geodatabase on a local drive to create a new feature class.
