There is no option to replace an image on an ArcGIS Hub site

Description

On an ArcGIS Hub site, an image can be uploaded or added using the image's URL. However, after doing so, there is no option to replace the image with a different one in the ArcGIS Hub site editor.

Cause

This is by design. To replace an image in the ArcGIS Hub site editor, users must delete the image and upload a different image, or delete the image’s URL and add a different image’s URL.

Solution or Workaround

Use one of the options below to replace the image with a different image or image URL in the ArcGIS Hub site editor.

Note:
ArcGIS Hub supports JPEG, JPG, and PNG image files.

Delete the image and upload a different image

1. In the ArcGIS Hub site editor, click the image.

2. In the Layout pane, click the Upload tab, and click the Clear Image icon to remove the image.

3. Click Browse for Image and browse to the location of the new image.

Note:
The maximum file size is three megabytes (MB).

4. Click the new image, and click Open.

5. On the top-right, click Save.

Delete the image’s URL and upload a different image’s URL

1. In the ArcGIS Hub site editor, click the image.

2. In the Layout pane, click the Image URL tab.

3. In the Supported types: JPEG, PNG, GIF, etc. text box, clear the image’s URL and enter the new image’s URL.

Note:
In ArcGIS Online, an image’s URL is on the image’s item details page. Ensure the image is shared publicly to use the image’s URL on the ArcGIS Hub site.

4. On the top-right, click Save.
